There were quite a few dudes filming on the night- Jon Television (I think), Diaries Down Under and a host of others. I'm sure there'll be some sick edits coming out in the next few weeks...
Double2011kid I totally agree - I've been living in QT a long time now and it still blows my mind how much potential the area has got. Potential that, until now, hasn't really been tapped into or got much recognition internationally. In the past coupla years though that's been changing and ti's bloody good to see. I would love to see a World Cup or World Champs here - would be nice to have a venue that isn't a 20 minute bus/taxi trip from the main centre for a change! And if they can host a World Champs in Canberra (no hills) I reckon we should be able to pull it off here! And yeah miniman, Lewis Jones is exploding right now!
Not this photographer...I shot the Dec issue and PB said they had no budget for image use. Glad to see it in the calendar but tired of freebies from companies that in reality can afford to pay...
Sorry dpbrown, photos is how I make my living and once hi res (or med res) images are released into the wild they end up in the strangest places. I only put these images up on PinkBIke to enter the Deep Summer photo challenge - and then I found out it was only open to US and Canadian residents.
Sorry to be a bastard mate, anyway glad you enjoyed the photo. Cheers, Patrick
Thanks mate, all the positive feedback has been cool. cheers Patrick
The Kennett brother's book will list good rides all over NZ and give you enough directions and info to find and ride them. If you're going to ride in Queenstown (I'm biased cause I live there, but I've ridden all over NZ and in my opinion the riding there is second to none. They may even be opening the gondola - that is smack bang in the middle of town - to mountain bikers this summer. Finger's crossed...)just grab a trail map and some info from any of the bike shops in town. All the riding's pretty close and pretty easy to find. And the trails are mint.
You could even push/ride up the Coronet trails and do your own Follow Me sequel...
